Are there additives with which we can improve the wetting power of paints for hot embossing foils ?
Obviously, paints used to coat hot embossing foils have relatively poor flow and wetting power on account of their high pigment content. There is a wide choice of suitable additives, the most important being substances which generally improve flow, such as dyclohexanol, decahydronaphthalene, dipentene, pine oil, diacetone alcohol, isophorone, n-methylpyrrolidone and dimethylformamide.
