Bronze powder pigmented wood lacquer for outside use

How does one formulate a wood lacquer, suitable for outdoor use, pigmented with bronze powder ?

Such as lacquer can be based on an alkyd resin or a blend of alkyd and nitrocellulose. Outdoor weathering resistance is determined by the correct choice of resin. Certain acrylic resins can also be used.

Several different metallic pigments can be mixed to achieve the required shade of bronze. Here we would recommend blending the pigment with a very fine particle filler. Once applied, the lacquer coating should be given another one of a clear lacquer to protect the pigment. This should preferably be based on a polyacrylate resin.
