Can you suggest a typical formulation for an acrylate-based fabric printing ink?
When selecting an aqueous, acrylate-based dispersion for fabric prionting, one of the most important point to consider is the type of fabric involved. Cotton fabric require different inks from non-wovens, because of their different water absorption.
For non-wovens, the following formulation can be recommended :
The dispersion contains 45% solids and the mean particle size is 0,25 micron. Appropriate emulsifiers should be used.70% butyl acrylate,
27% methyl methacrylate and
3% N-methylolacrylamide.
