Improved Adhesion on Metal

Adhesion of our primer on metal surfaces is inadequate. How can we solve the problem?

lf the choice of components can be varied, suitably formulated carboxylic acid containing PVC resins are a possibility. The carboxyl functionality in these improves considerably the adhesion properties of the coating. A suitable product should be able to selected from the relatively large number of terpolymers available with just a few tests.
lf there are reasons for maintaining the primer formulation, one can only raise the curing temperature carefully. Embrittlement and other reductions in quality should of course be avoided
