Which water thinnable melamine resin can we use as a binder for wood chipboard which can be sanded after 60 seconds (100o C) and will be solvent resistant after 24 hours ( room temperature ) ?
A number of products can be used. However, if you require fast curing ti achieve sanding after only 60 seconds this would mean using a highly reactive resin and this could well be brittle. It would therefore be advisible to use a combination with a water thinnable alkyd of polyacrylate resin, possibily also with a water soluble plasticiser.
