Which alkyd resins are suitable for fast drying primers for wood surfaces ?



Such primers are normally based on a non drying, ground nut-alkyd resin, usually blended with low to

medium viscosity

cellulose nitrate ( nitrocotton, nitrocellulose ). The type of nitrocellulose used, and the amount, will determine drying time. Nearly all major producers will be able to suggest suitable

alkyd resins

and, if necessary, suggested formulations.
