The best way to do this is to accurately weigh out a small quantity of the drier and evaporate the solution to dryness, followed by reducing the residue to ash. The metal content of the ash can then be determined using old established methods. Several physical methods can also be used such as gas chromatography,thin layer chromatography and liquid column chromatography.
